Every bottle you own, wherever it’s stored, in one place.
My Portfolio, by LiveTrade, is a free wine cellar management tool for fine wine and whisky collectors. It is directly connected to LiveTrade, the most active and award-winning fine wine trading platform, powered by Bordeaux Index, the largest trader on the secondary wine market. My Portfolio can be accessed via the LiveTrade app on iPhone and Android, or on desktop through the Bordeaux Index website. My Portfolio tracks every wine and whisky you own, wherever it’s stored, values your collection using market data, and shows live market bids, so you can sell, buy or arrange delivery in a tap.

LiveTrade, Bordeaux Index’s fine wine trading platform, has been named Trading Platform of the Year at The Drinks Business Awards seven years running, with over £60m of stock listed. Because My Portfolio sits within it, your collection is tracked inside the market it trades in, which a standalone cellar app can’t offer.
When My Portfolio relaunched alongside the expansion of LiveTrade, we rebuilt our valuation algorithm from the ground up. The judges at The Drinks Business Awards 2025 singled out My Portfolio as a market-leading cellar management tool, and The Drinks Business explored how it works in “The Fine Art of Cellar Management”. It’s designed for collectors of fine wine and whisky, whether they buy to drink, to hold or both.
What’s the best app to manage a wine cellar?
For fine and investment-grade wine, a list of bottles isn’t enough. You need to know what each one is worth, and to be able to act on that.
No two cellars are alike. Each one is shaped by the wines its owner loves, the occasions they’re saving for and the vintages they believe in. The more it grows, the more it’s worth keeping a close eye on.
Good cellar management comes down to three questions: what do I own, where is it, and what is it worth? My Portfolio in the LiveTrade app answers all three in seconds. Many cellar tools stop at a record of what you hold; with My Portfolio you can also sell, buy or arrange delivery from the same place.

Can I track wine stored in more than one place?
Yes. Ask most collectors where their cellar is, and the honest answer is “in several places”. Wines bought over the years, from different sources and stored in different warehouses, are rarely brought together under one roof, which leaves separate statements, separate valuations and no single picture of what you own or what it’s worth. In My Portfolio you can manage wine and whisky stored anywhere, not just what is stored with Bordeaux Index. My Portfolio brings all of your wine and whisky into one simple view.
How do I track my wine collection?
Everything you buy, store or sell through Bordeaux Index appears in My Portfolio automatically, so you don’t need to log or manually add a single case.
Wines and whiskies stored elsewhere can sit alongside them, whether in bond or duty paid. Add them one by one in the LiveTrade app or on the Bordeaux Index website, import a spreadsheet on the website, which is the easiest way to move a collection over from a spreadsheet or another wine tracker. For each wine you can record the details that matter: storage location, duty status, case type, condition, purchase date and your own reference. Then follow your whole cellar in the LiveTrade app.
Bonded stock professionally stored in the UK or Europe can also be traded on LiveTrade. Your cellar is in one place, even if your bottles aren’t stored with Bordeaux Index, and if you’d like them to be, we can help with that too.
How do I know what my wine collection is worth?
Once your wines are in My Portfolio, each one is valued automatically. Valuations are updated regularly by our proprietary valuation algorithm, which draws on a wide range of proprietary and public data.
For every wine, you’ll see both the market price and its net value: what you could expect to receive on sale. At the top, your totals show what your cellar cost, what it’s worth today and how it has performed.
Open any wine to see its price history, critics’ tasting notes and its current market on LiveTrade: the best bids and offers, and when and at what price it last traded. You can also filter by location, region or vintage to see your options for every wine at a glance, from selling to delivery.
Is fine wine a real asset?
Fine wine is often described as a real asset: something physical, with a value of its own, like art or property. Whether you buy to drink, to hold or a little of both, that makes it worth knowing what your collection is worth and where it sits.
My Portfolio gives you a single view of what your wine and whisky is worth, based on market data. The value of fine wine can go down as well as up.
What can I do with my cellar once it’s tracked?
My Portfolio in the LiveTrade app shows you opportunities you might otherwise miss. For wines in your cellar that aren’t for sale, you can see active bids from buyers and every trade from the last three months, along with the profit you’d make at the latest price. If the numbers look right, you can offer to sell in a tap, for LiveTrade-eligible bonded stock.
Speaking to The Drinks Business, Bordeaux Index Co-CEO Matthew O’Connell described My Portfolio as “a launchpad for making decisions around your wine collection”.
From My Portfolio, you can:
- Sell bonded stock through LiveTrade, without leaving My Portfolio
- Buy more of a wine that’s performing, or fill a gap in a vertical
- Arrange delivery of wines stored with Bordeaux Index when they’re ready to drink
- Organise storage for new purchases
You can also set email alerts for activity on LiveTrade, such as a trade on a wine you’re offering, or a better bid or offer on a wine on your watchlist.
Can I manage my cellar on my phone?
Yes, and the app is where My Portfolio is most useful. The LiveTrade app is on the Apple App Store and Google Play. Add your wines in the app or on the website, then follow them wherever you are.
After signing in once, you can open the app with Face ID or your fingerprint and, within seconds, check what your cellar is worth, see how a wine has moved or respond to a bid. There’s no need to log in through a browser or wait until you’re back at your desk, so you can act as soon as a price changes or a buyer appears.
The app runs on the same LiveTrade platform, with the same firm pricing and instant execution. As one user puts it, the LiveTrade app makes it “so easy to see what I hold and what it’s worth”.
Can I store my wine with Bordeaux Index?
Yes. Wines stored with Bordeaux Index are kept at the Colerne Reserve, operated by Octavian, the world’s leading long-term fine wine storage provider. Every case is checked in, logged and barcoded on arrival, condition reports with photography are available, and all wine in your client reserves is insured to full replacement value. Stored wines appear in My Portfolio automatically, ready to deliver or trade.
Who is behind My Portfolio?
Bordeaux Index has bought, sold, stored and traded the world’s great wines since 1997, and nearly 30 years of experience runs through everything we build. LiveTrade was created to bring firm, visible pricing to fine wine, and My Portfolio applies the same transparency to your own cellar.
My Portfolio does the tracking, but there’s a team behind it. Whether you’re managing a few cases or a lifetime’s collection, our team is always on hand to talk through your cellar, from what to drink to what to hold.
