Composed of 88% Merlot and 12% Cabernet Franc, the deep garnet-purple colored 2015 Merlot is scented of plums, Chinese five spice, dusty earth and bay leaves with touches of meat and Marmite. Medium-bodied and muscular in the mouth with firm, chewy tannins, this is a taut, restrained style with plenty of character and pleasantly savory finish.
