Tasting Notes and Scores

92 WS

Meaty black fruit, fresh herb and smoky oak on the nose. Full-bodied and tight, with firm tannins and a long, minerally finish. Big and chewy. A sledgehammer of a wine, but I like it a lot. Best after 2006. 750 cases made.(James Suckling)

Wine Spectator

17.5 JR

Very dark ruby. Subdued mint notes with a touch of Moroccan leather. Balsamic and deep nose with black olive, dried cherry and bags of powdery tannins complementing it all. Incredibly well balanced while huge. (WS)
