Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Campo di Magnacosta is more subdued in terms of its aromatic intensity compared to the other two wines in this series of single-vineyard Cabernet Francs. The wine shows an elegant finish that is measured more in terms of length and persistence than power and bulk. There is grace here and you taste it in the subtle way those black fruit flavors are folded within darker tones of spice, tar and cured leather. The texture is already silky to touch, and I would image that it will become even more so with time.

Mid crimson. Refined, ripe right-bank Cabernet Franc nose. Lovely supple tannins and bone-dry finish with pencil shavings and sweet ink along the way. Pretty dry on the end and very appetising. Fresh and very obviously Cabernet Franc. (JR)
