The 2019 Anfiteatro is 100% Sangiovese from vineyards planted in 1975. It captures all the wildness of this rugged site in its complex, dynamic personality. Dark-fleshed fruit, licorice, lavender, dried herbs and mocha build in the glass, lending notable explosive energy. I would give this a few years in bottle. The 2019 is a classic, potent wine from Vecchie Terre di Montefili.
