Tasting Notes and Scores
Rosso’s 2006 Barolo La Serra shows more density and freshness than the Serralunga, along with high-toned flowers, spices, mint and berries that flow from its focused, mid-weight frame. Firm, chewy tannins round out this strong effort from proprietor Davide Rosso. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2026. AG

Cherry and licorice aromas and flavors, with hints of flowers, are matched to a glycerin texture balanced by drying tannins. It all comes together on the lingering finish. Best from 2012 through 2024. BS
