Tasting Notes and Scores
Fregonese's 2016 Barolo Prapò is a powerful, sinewy wine. Crushed red fruit, mint, chalk, white pepper, iron and sage give the 2016 its distinctly wild feral personality. The potent Serralunga tannins need time to soften, that is clear, but I don't think that will be an issue given how well the wine shows with a few hours of air. This is very nicely done.
