The 2008 Barolo Vigna Bricco Cerretta shows the muscle of Serralunga within the context of the year. Dark red fruit, flowers, licorice and tar are some of the nuances that emerge from this refined Barolo. There is plenty of density in the glass. The 2008 is rich, deep and muscular all the way through to the finish. There is plenty of Serraluga character here.

Medium red. Pungent nose combines cherry, minerals, licorice, wild herbs and leather, with a lightly medicinal aspect. Then juicy, intense and deep but a bit reduced on the palate. Today the wine's floral and sweet components are partly covered by firm tannic spine. This will need at least four or five years to develop.
