Tasting Notes and Scores
Wine Advocate December, 2012 The 2010 Cote Rotie Cote Blonde comes close to perfection. Again, 2-4% co-fermented Viognier is blended with Syrah, and the bouquet offers up beautiful aromas of spring flowers, sweet forest floor, black raspberries, white peaches and kirsch. Seductive and full-bodied with velvety tannin, an endlessly constructed texture and huge length, this prodigious Cote Rotie should age effortlessly for 15-20 years.
Wine Advocate
Saturated ruby. A wild, intensely perfumed bouquet evokes red and dark berry liqueur, potpourri and incense, with an intense mineral overtone. Juicy, focused and deeply concentrated but light on its feet, offering palate-coating black raspberry and cherry-cola flavors that become fleshier with air. Finishes sweet and extremely long, with silky tannins, outstanding focus and a suave floral pastille quality.
