The 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru has a more intense nose than the Les Veroilles, but maybe without the same nuance and finesse. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, quite strict and linear, just needing a touch more matière on the finish. Fine overall.

Cask sample. Quite rich and powdery textured in a haunting true-to-Chambolle way. Lots of pleasure here. I swallowed it! And it reverberated around the palate afterwards. (JR)
