The 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Les Borniques 1er Cru showed some reduction on the nose, making it difficult to read. The palate, which includes 30% whole clusters, has plenty of crunchy black fruit mixed with Earl Grey and citrus notes. Abundant energy here. This will require 3–5 years’ bottle age, but it should turn into a very fine, fresh Chambolle.
