Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2022 Echézeaux En Orveaux Grand Cru has a very satisfying bouquet, beautifully defined, with lifted brambly red fruit, sous-bois and incense aromas. The palate is well delineated and linear in style, with gentle grip. Perhaps it just requires a tad more flesh on the finish, but I feel this is only because this Echézeaux is a bit closed at the moment. Good potential—patience required. Tasted at merchants' 2022 Burgundy tastings in London.

Cask sample. Deepish crimson. Fresh dark fruits with an inviting stone-dust overlay. Dark, dry, firm, savoury and all in embryo – embryonically elegant. Bone dry, long. (JH)
