The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru, matured in 100% new oak (three barrels), has quite an expressive bouquet with dark cherries, raspberry coulis and touches of blue fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, fleshy, quite sweet with a velvety finish driven by the barrel at the moment, though that will integrate with 3-5 years in bottle.
