Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Petite Chapelle has a far superior bouquet compared to the Village Crus – much more control over the aromatics, more detail, scents of raspberry coulis, wild strawberry and brown spices, none of the prune-like aromas here. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, quite solid and grippy in the mouth with more black fruit coming through towards the finely tuned finish. This is a serious level up in class over the Domaine’s Village Crus in 2015.
