The 2020 Echézeaux Grand Cru comprises of just a barrel. Quite intense on the nose, this offers ravishing red cherries, cranberry and inky scents that gain intensity with aeration. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent, velvety tannins, its richness counterbalanced by the silver bead of acidity and there is admirable persistency too. Tiny in quantity but big in quality, this is a well-crafted Echezeaux.
