Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2022 Volnay Taillepieds 1er Cru contains one-third whole bunches. It doesn't quite have the horsepower of the Champans on the nose, though it does have very attractive delineation and focus. Real Pinoté here. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and a crisp bead of acidity, harmonious with a slightly more lactic finish in terms of texture. Give this just a few months to absorb the oak fully.
