From 115-year old vines, the 2020 Pommard Epenots 1er Cru includes 80% whole cluster. It has as well-defined bouquet with black cherries and blueberry fruit, showing a little more freshness than other cuvées. The palate is smooth and silky, the stems lending freshness to counter the density and richness, quite structured on the finish with a saline aftertaste. Fine.
