Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2014 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru was showing quite a bit of reduction on the nose when I tasted it. The palate is medium-bodied and much more expressive, quite fleshy in the mouth with lovely, crunchy red berry fruit. Touches of redcurrant and cranberry are embroidered with an attractive saline touch and a bitter edge on the finish. Not a complex Clos de la Roche perhaps, but I like the freshness and tension here.
