Tasting Notes and Scores
Aromas of pear, toasted nuts and orange oil introduce the 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru, a medium to full-bodied, firm and muscular wine that's structured around prodigious levels of dry extract and framed by a deft application of new oak. This is built to age and will require some patience.

The 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a simple nose of orchard fruit and a touch of honeysuckle, perhaps a bit overripe. The palate is balanced with plenty of concentration, slightly waxy in texture, lightly spiced with ginger and a light aniseed note on the finish. Give it another 12 months in bottle. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 white tasting.
