The 2018 Puligny-Montrachet Les Caillerets 1er Cru is light and delineated at first, orange blossom mixed with white peach and a touch of crushed limestone. It gains intensity with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a reductive opening, fine depth, a lot of substance here with dried mango, pineapple and more exotic fruit than the aromatics suggest. Very fine. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 white tasting.
