Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2017 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru comes from purchased fruit. It has a clean, pure bouquet of red cherries and crushed strawberry with a touch of chai tea, although it does not have the complexity of the domaine’s own Nuits Saint-Georges. The palate is medium-bodied and smooth, offering supple tannin and pretty red fruit laced with white pepper and sage on the finish. Quite an approachable Grand Cru. Fine.
