Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Chambolle-Musigny Les Charmes 1er Cru is a little disappointing on the nose when evaluated blind against its peers. It just seems to lack their bravura and joie de vivre. The medium-bodied palate offers sappy red fruit laced with white pepper, sage and just a hint of pencil lead. There is good length, but I seek more complexity and personality, given the vintage. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
