The 2016 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is quite dense and powerful, but it also has more than enough fruit to fill out its ample, full-bodied frame. A rush of dark cherry, plum, licorice and savory herbs take on decidedly exotic overtones. A deeply satisfying wine, the 2016 finishes with real weight, substance and gravitas. - Antonio Galloni
