Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2021 Corton Clos-du-Roi Grand Cru has a little more presence than the Corton-Bressandes. On the nose, a mélange of red and black fruit commingles with sous-bois and fresh tobacco scents. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit and is nicely structured, though not complex. There's a satisfying sense of sapidity that urges you back for another sip.

Light to mid crimson. Subtle red-fruit scent. The lightness of the vintage really shows here but it has been well made so nothing is forced. Tannins appear delicate but are sufficient. It may be on the light side but it does have good length. Knowing burgundy, my drinking dates may be conservative. (JH)
