Tasting Notes and Scores
Clay-limestone, on the slope, less hard limestone. East- and south-east facing. 75% whole bunch for all the premiers crus and 40% new oak. Barrel sample. Colour more developed than in the Clos Sorbè Morey. More obvious whole-bunch aroma. More herbal. A hint of tomato leaf. Also happens with Les Pruliers and this wine in some vintages but Duband loves that aroma. Tannins are quite dry here. I find this slightly too far down the stemmy route – dry texture – but it is balanced in that style. No lack of freshness! (JH)
