Tasting Notes and Scores

89 ST

(from purchased grapes; partly vinified by Drouhin): Palish medium red. Aromas of raspberry, brown spices and medicinal herbs convey more lift than those of the village wine. Also a bit firmer and gutsier in the mouth, showing good spice character. I don't find the fleshiness of the vintage's better premier crus but this wine delivers good energy and definition. Finishes with firm, building tannins and lingering spiciness.
