Aromas of cassis, orange rind, plums, warm spices and creamy new oak preface Charlopin's 2019 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru, a full-bodied, layered and richly structured wine that's nicely concentrated and muscular, concluding with a long, perfumed finish. It was vinified with some 40% whole cluster.
