The 2019 Volnay 1er Cru Les Angles is charming and expressive, bursting with aromas of raspberries, cherries, orange rind and truffle. Medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, it's supple and lively, with ultra-refined tannins and succulent balancing acids.

The 2019 Volnay Les Angles 1er Cru comprises seven barrels this year, of which one is new. It has a comparatively simple nose compared to Boillot’s other Volnay Premier Crus, displaying light blackberry and briary aromas. The palate is balanced with gentle tannins, quite supple and light, which augurs an early-drinking Volnay to enjoy over the next five or six years.
