Tasting Notes and Scores
Exhibiting notes of plums, dark berries, spices, petals and forest floor, the 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Corvées is medium to full-bodied, with good concentration, tangy acids and a penetrating finish. Though adjacent to La Brunelle, the soils are deeper with fewer stones, and the wine is somewhat chunkier and less sensual.

The 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Corvées offers dark plum and a touch of prune on the nose, quite atypical for the vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with dark red fruit, quite grainy in texture, moderate depth with a touch of sour cherry towards the finish. It just misses a bit of personality and Pinoté at this point.
