Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2022 Chassagne-Montrachet Village derives from the excellent hillside lieu-dit Pot Bois (readers might think of this terroir as Chassagne-Montrachet's answer to Meursault Chevalières). Unwinding in the glass with aromas of citrus oil and pear mingled with notions of white flowers, hazelnuts and youthful reduction, it's medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, with lively acids, superb concentration and impressive reserves of chalky structuring extract.

Tank sample. Mid pale lemon. Incisive lemon on the nose, mature even confit. Apple, lemon and zest on the palate. Mouth-watering. Chalky saline texture and long, driving acidity. Very mineral. (MH)
