The 2022 Gevrey-Chambertin Village has a straightforward bouquet of cranberry, wild strawberry fruit, and a touch of wild hedgerow. The palate is medium-bodied with ripe red cherry and strawberry fruit and fine weight. It just needs more precision and nervosité on the finish. Drink over the next decade.

Cask sample. Lots of density on the palate. Dark-berry and bitter-cherry notes. Subtle oak. Plenty of concentration and has all the components to allow medium-term ageing. Crisp, crunchy and vibrant fruits. (AWH)
