Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Savigny les Beaune Villages is 90% from the Fourneaux lieu-dit that Benjamin Leroux told me tends to produce small bunches, and therefore this blend contains a higher percentage of whole bunch. It has a very attractive floral bouquet with dark berry fruit matched with fine mineralité. The palate is well balanced with fine tannin, very pure fruit here with dark cherry and raspberry, elegant and poised on the finish. There is lovely Pinoté here - a very expressive , well-crafted village cru.

(assembled in tank; from three lieux-dits , mostly Fourneaux vinified with whole clusters): Pretty, bright red. The nose offers captivating red berry perfume. Pure, silky wine with raspberry fruit complicated by smoky minerality and soil tones and carried by a firm spine of acidity. Finishes with fine tannins and good persistence.
