Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2016 Vosne-Romanée Village sees 50% new oak. There is plenty of dark berry fruit mixed with Earl Grey and undergrowth on the nose. Medium-bodied on the palate, the tannins are quite fine and frame the chalky-textured black fruit. Hints of black tea and truffle towards the lightly spiced finish. This is a very commendable Village Cru. Tasted at Raeburn Fine Wines tasting in London.

Polished and much fresher and more subtle than the Bourgogne. Super-charming though. Over-delivery of concentrated but balanced wine. (JR)
