Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Puligny-Montrachet Champgains has a fragrant, well-defined bouquet with peach skin and light yellow flower scents that are neatly integrated with the oak. The palate is well balanced, with impressive weight on the entry, and quite saline. The taut, slightly nutty, almost Meursault-like finish does not overstay its welcome. I find it just loses a little vigor in the glass, ergo it loses a point. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Not bottled. Quite fine and approachable. Easy and very slightly chewy and chalky. Lots of charm but not the most concentrated. (JR)
