The 2022 Rully Margotés 1er Cru comes from the same valley as Vauvry, with 0.9 hectares of vine planted in 1946. This has one of Vincent's most nuanced and understated bouquets, gradually opening in the glass to reveal scents of Golden Delicious, Clementine pith, and light, wet, rocky aromas. The well-balanced palate has a taut line of acidity and beautifully integrated oak. The smooth, harmonious finish has a hint of patisserie/popcorn right on the aftertaste. Superb.
