Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2019 Gevrey-Chambertin Petite Chapelle 1er Cru is another cuvée that boasts impressive transparency on the nose of ebullient red berry fruit mixed with graphite and light undergrowth aromas. The palate is well balanced with fine-grained tannins and edgy red berry fruit laced with graphite, segueing toward a persistent finish that leaves residues of allspice and clove. Excellent.

Cask sample. Light to mid cherry. Notable oak aroma with a touch of vanilla. Drying tannins dominate the fruit on the palate. Chewy and needs time but hard work now. (JH)
