Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2009 Gevrey-Chambertin Clos Prieur is a relatively big, masculine wine that fills the mouth with gorgeous mid-palate density and expressive, perfumed aromatics. It is elegant and impeccably refined through to the finish, with striking perfume that lingers in the empty glass. This will be a fascinating wine to follow over the coming year. It is a jewel. Trapet owns three parcels in Clos Prieur. Here Trapet used 35% whole clusters.

Moderately saturated medium red. Cooler on the nose than the Petite-Chapelle, offering hints of cherry, pepper and minerals. Then sweeter in the mouth but offering a bit less lift, clarity and mineral energy than the Petite-Chapelle. Here the tannins are a bit less refined. But this will drink earlier.
