Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2022 Nuits Saint-Georges La Charmotte includes 40% whole clusters this year and matured in two-thirds new oak. It has a slightly more fruit-driven bouquet with raspberry and wild strawberry fruit, just a hint of truffle and sous-bois. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins. There’s good grip, classic but maybe a bit rustic in style, the finish taut and slightly peppery. It should cohere by the time it is bottled and habitually gain "confidence" with age.
