Bright, dark red. Captivating wild bouquet of raspberry, strawberry, smoked meat, crushed stone and underbrush encompasses most of the major Gevrey food groups. Dense and thick but also very fine-grained, with almost painful minerality energizing the middle palate. Most impressive today on the superb rising finish, which features tongue-dusting but noble tannins and repeating crushed-stone minerality. Compellingly sappy, powerful Mazis with real class.
