The 2022 Morey-Saint-Denis La Riotte 1er Cru has a wild strawberry and raspberry-scented bouquet with white pepper touches and light loamy scents. The palate is medium-bodied, taut and quite linear, with fine-boned tannins. Plenty of sapidity sustains it in the mouth on the finish. It's understated but a classy number.

0.57 ha (1.41 acres). 25% new oak. Cask sample. Mid ruby. Very floral, lifted roses and violets. Cherry, cassis and raspberry. Salty mid palate. Some tannic grip; powdery, but firm tannins. (MH)
