Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2018 Corton Rognet Grand Cru has an exquisite bouquet with vivacious brambly red fruit, sous-bois and crushed stone - all wonderfully-defined. The palate is medium-bodied with lithe tannins, assiduously integrated oak, very harmonious with a vibrant, elegant finish that delivers Grand Cru pedigree. Ever so slightly Pinotage-like. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting.

Tank sample. Ripe and seductive, rich in red fruits. Firm, chalky, deep in texture. Not quite as fresh as the Morey La Riotte but the fruit is bright enough to fill out the serious structure. (JH)
