The 2020 Puligny-Montrachet La Garenne 1er Cru offers scents of citrus fruit, pressed white flowers and a touch of hazelnut. This opens nicely in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh with a discrete peppery finish that lingers in the mouth. Impressive energy here. Good potential.

Cask sample. Ripe fruit, touch of melon on the palate. Crisp acidity. Weighty. A little bitterness/ agrume note on the finish. Complex wine with density and concentration. (AWH)
