The 2020 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos St.-Marc 1er Cru has a pretty floral bouquet with violet-tinged blueberry fruit. It is quite elegant in style and nicely focused. Pure. The palate is medium-bodied with succulent, fine, pure, plush tannins. Black cherries mix with light cassis and white pepper. There's fine cohesion, and this is quite an ambitious Nuits Saint-Georges. It just about pulls it off. Tasted blind at the Burgfest tasting.
