The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos St-Marc 1er Cru has a simple bouquet. Light brambly red fruit just lacks a bit of cohesion, though there is amelioration with time as it gains more clarity. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly coarse tannins, quite austere and just a bit mean towards the finish that fades just a little. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2018 red tasting.
