The 2017 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos Saint-Marc 1er Cru has a light, slightly tertiary bouquet of brambly dark berry fruit and leather that improves in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit and fine delineation. Crisp and vibrant with a touch of piquancy toward the finish. Not powerful, but well-crafted and poised. Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2017 tasting.
