The 2023 Chablis Fôret 1er Cru has a more mineral-driven bouquet than the Vaillons. There's more complexity here, with flinty scents that emerge with time in the glass. The palate is beautifully balanced with a saline entry, hints of clementine and quince. It's a little spicier toward the finish with a hint of lemongrass on the aftertaste. The 2023 is lovely.
