Tasting Notes and Scores
Good full red. High-toned, superripe aromas of currant, potpourri, dried flavors and chocolate. Then surprisingly tight and penetrating in the mouth, with lovely energy and purity of flavor. Very firmly tannic today and in need of several years of cellaring. Doesn't have the size of the vintage's best examples but hardly lacks for vibrancy.

This is a bit gassy but not reduced. This is much more linear in style with better wood integration and better freshness as well on both the nose and the full-bodied, sweet and intense flavors underpinned by a dense but fine tannic spine. A bit awkward today but it appears to have the balance and raw material to come together.

Deep red. Perfumed aromas of black fruits, violet, rose petal and brown spices. Juicy, tight and youthful, with intense flavors of black fruits, brown spices and mocha. Offers a restrained sweetness. Finishes quite long and juicy. But essentially smaller-scaled.
