Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2015 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru has a fresh, vibrant bouquet of honeysuckle, apple blossom and subtle granite aromas. The taut, linear palate is well balanced, displaying a fine bead of acidity, and fans out gently out toward the final third with hints of almond and white peach. What a pretty Chablis! Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

(10% vinified in oak; then raised in barrels): Healthy pale color. Aromas of lemon, spices and fresh almond are energized by a cool menthol note. Plush, rich and fine-grained but a bit youthfully forthcoming today, with solid underlying minerality giving it a distinctly upright character (Laurent Pinson describes it as "a wine of reflection"). Finishes with sappy mineral-driven persistence and enticing floral lift. Excellent potential.
