The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Macherelles 1er Cru has a knockout nose with ebullient peach skin, apricot blossom and beeswax scents that lean a little towards Meursault in style. The palate is quite powerful but retains balance, a twist of bitter lemon and a slightly pithy finish. Wonderful complexity. This comes recommended.
