Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2021 Chablis Vieilles Vignes was acutely affected by the frost with Vaudécorse cropped at a paltry 9hl/ha. It has a flinty, tightly-wound bouquet that is focused and vibrant, yet somehow more "serious" than the Chablis-Villages. The palate is very well balanced with more depth and substance than the Chablis-Village, harmonious, lightly spiced with gorgeous lime and white peach notes towards the elegant finish. Wonderful.

Organic farming. Smells richer and fuller than the straight Chablis, a touch of oatmeal. Creamy in the mouth so that the high-acid citrus is balanced but there’s not great depth at the core. (JH)
